14 imagesThe stainless steel skin of the architecture designed by Frank Owen Gehry is ever changing. Although some of his buildings have colored or a patchwork of panels, all of the surfaces respond to variations in the intensity and innate color of natural light. The colors presented here are those initially captured and have not been altered. The structures featured in this portfolio include the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles, CA; Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), Seattle, WA and Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, Las Vegas, NV.
6 imagesThe Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, NV is affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic. The Frank Gehry designed building is located in the Symphony Park area of the city. It is an approachably-sized 3-4 story building that has every shape of surface imaginable, even windows with and without glazing. The building is constructed primarily of stainless steel panels, a Gehry signature material. For these images I added the copper color using plug-ins in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. I also enhanced the blue sky to increase its intensity. This emphasizes the complementary colors in the photographs.
